Yesterday I had my first show in Harlem at this Spot called Billie's Black Lounge, and the show was hosted by Uptown Live ..which is a live recording of two acts followed by interviews. I had alot to take care of before the show
Hair, Rehearsal, Eat, get equipment to the gig and thats basically it..its alot more than it looks.

I hadnt played keys in so long..Gotta start sheddin!! story of my life..The band was late so I just worked out the set list and what not..


Then we went in..Me, Adam, Ojay, Ant, J.Most, Saunders,and Earl trynn figure out how we were gonna end "Elude"


Big mistake I made...I didnt bother to go by the spot earlier in the week to see the set up, so I was a lil caught off gaurd when I saw I was singen thru a karoake machine..but it sounded cool for what it was....

Like 3 days ago I got called to come in and learn 5 Keyshia Cole songs and sing background for her on VH1 Unplugged. I was pretty excited cuz Im a fan of hers, I dig her music. It was a very good experience because I got to see the industry and what goes down as far as a Major Artist and there Entourage(Team)...Things are alot easier at that level, Im comparing the Independent Artist and the Major Artist.. because as an Artist I find myself having to handle alot of things I shouldnt have to: booking, payment, paying the band, making sure everything is good like the sound.. but Keyshia got called when everything was set up sang and left...Less sressful, a perfect environment to perform in.. no excuse not to kill..it should be airing soon. heads up for me smiling in the camera..

So I booked a show w/ Eric Roberson @ The Temple Bar and it was a very good look... I didnt have a band last minute, but I was able to call up my homies who play for Keyshia Cole now (luckily they were in LA) and they save my life... Daniel Jones(Keys), Adam Blackstone(Bass), Erik Tribbett(Drums), and this Young Cat Jairus Mozzee(Guitar) who plays for Fantasia ... so we pretty much smashed on the crowd... one problem...there was no documentation....U might see Eric on You tube, cuz he went in!! performed 14 songs, and an encore..great show all around.. one of my best... never again will there be no photographers, no audio, and no video...life lesson learned

Shout Out to The Park for coming through on the last minute gig booking and last minute hit with me....these fools is on the grind.. They play with like 10 artist anad myself when Im in the Bay... Bruno's was a good night

Also SHout out to this cat I met in SF.. Lee Bob... Killn Sound, its like Folk Soul Funk... he was also on the bill that night at Bruno's.....

Lastnight I went to The L.E.S(lower east side) and saw The PJ Morton Band,perform @ this little lounge called Kion, pretty dope set , there the homies, Keyon on Trumpet, Brian on Bass, BigED on Drums, Jesse on Guitar, Kenneth on Sax, and Lead Singer/MD PJ Morton
They were Killn...






These Cats are all Real Musicians and understand what good music is... They play for the Crowd which is hard to find in Good musicians sometimes , because they usually play for themselves... PJ is also a killn songwriter and Producer for So So Def and had a nice little list of Placements.. google him
